"I want and know that Eyestore is a trusted place for families and the elderly to come to come for all their vision needs"
Dr. Susan Ang-Ngo is grateful that her profession has opened doors to countries such as India, Cambodia and Vietnam, in which she helps the disadvantaged have access to eye care needs.
In her leisure time, Susan enjoys Bikram Yoga and ticking off her hiking lists from around the world, With the Camino Trail being one of them in 2022.
Annita Duong is an Optometrist and an Ophthalmic medicines prescriber. She graduated from the University of New South Wales with a Master of Clinical Optometry and a Bachelor of Vision Science.
Her clinical interests include paediatrics, specialty contact lenses and the management of complex eye diseases.
Annita is described by her patients as bubbly and attentive to their needs and concerns. She firmly believes that effective patient communication is vital in maximising treatment outcomes. And therefore, her fluency in both English and Vietnamese allows her to achieve this.
Outside of work, Annita enjoys reading, trying out new cafes and restaurants and volunteering with her church.
Mary Nguyen is a therapeutically-endorsed optometrist who graduated with a Masters of Clinical Optometry and a Bachelors of Vision Science from the University of New South Wales.
Her passion for optometry began through experiencing her own elderly family members struggling with blindness. There are high rates of preventable blindness in certain ethnic communities due to inadequate access to eye care in their lifetime. She believes that our generation has the responsibility to close this gap. This involves enhancing patient's education and awareness about the importance of ocular health. Mary's main clinical interests are in early detection and treatment of ocular diseases, primarily glaucoma, macular disease and degenerative myopia.
In her leisure time, Mary enjoys playing competitive dodgeball. She competes in NSW state competitions and enjoys promoting her love for the sport. She has 2 dogs who she also loves to spoil.
Jamilla graduated from optometry in 2003 at UNSW. Coming from a Chinese family of myopic spectacle wearers, she has always been interested in eyes. She recalls being told off by her uncle as a toddler for
playing with the frames whilst in an optical shop in Hong Kong. Her drive towards optometry was strengthened after her first eye exam in high school, and subsequent work experience at an optometry practice.
In her down time, she enjoys chilling at home with her 3 year old daughter and her husband, cooking yummy toddler food and collecting pink diamonds and goodies of value. She loves also outdoors. Her biggest achievement was conquering Mount Kinabalu in 2017, despite being the last one in the group to arrive coming down the mountain.
